M.A. Wood Excavating was founded in 2014 by Mark A. Wood, he has over 40 years of excavation experience. M.A. Wood Excavating is family owned and operated. 

Mark was born and raised in Central Oregon, he worked along his father at W.L. Wood Excavation in Texas and Oregon for 20 years. While working with W.L. Wood Excavation they worked on the 1^st phase of the Bend bypass in 1978, built 4^th street, 6^th street & 27^th street in Bend, 27^th Street in Redmond, subdivision of Bitterbrush Estates in 2006 and a 40 house subdivision in Philomath, Oregon for Terra Construction. He worked as a Superintendent at Davison Construction in Oregon for over 10 years. He has helped build subdivisions in California, Oregon, Texas and Washington.
